The Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers (HACFM) was awarded a ROSS Neighborhood Network grant from the Housing and Urban Development in 2003.

The Neighborhood Network Center (NNC) has been in operation since September 2004, the center continues to be a leading resource center for public housing residents. The NNC has become our major "place based" center that provides computer access to public housing residents with 12 computers, printers and Internet access.

Resources and services are available to meet the human services needs which includes; Financial Literacy, Literacy (English as a second language), basic computer training, after-school program and job career needs. This is our most popular service provided to our residents. The "Job Club" is a program designed to assist families seeking employment. We provide job searches; resume writing, and interview roll play sessions and many other job skill training services preparing our families for employment. The employment program is held every Tuesday 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.

We partner with service providers to bring resources and services directly to the residents. We have an on-site GED contractor to assist the residents with obtaining their GED. In addition, the Lee County Literacy Volunteers offers a literacy program English (as a second language) to our residents at the Michigan Neighborhood Network Center.

We encourage the residents to take advantage of these resources and services available at no cost.

Come out and join us at the Neighborhood Network Center. We are open daily 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. For more information please contact Keith Jackson at (239) 461-7257.
