The CSS program is aimed at promoting self-sufficiency for families connected to the HOPE VI Revitalization grant (former families of the revitalized Michigan Court, current families of the Renaissance Preserve community and families residing in the Horizons community). Supportive Services include but not limited to: Adult Education programs such as GED and English as Second Language (ESL) classes, Youth education such as after-school tutoring and mentoring, entrepreneurship training. Employment related services such as interviewing and job search assistance, computer training, job-skills training, transportation and childcare assistance. Many of the supportive services such as childcare and adult education are provided by outside organizations that have entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs). For example childcare assistance is administered by The Early Learning Coalition through the state of Florida's Childcare Executive Partnership Program (CCEP). This is a state funded program matched dollar for dollar. The benefit of such program is that parents can enter the program and not be subjected to lengthy waitlists that many experience who do not qualify for the CCEP program. Parents also pay nominal co-pay based on a sliding scale.
